On Saturday 29th March 2014 the Australian movement, Earth Hour, highlighted our need for increased activism in climate change as the Great Barrier Reef is increasingly exposed to temperature change.

Great Barrier Reef

The Great Barrier Reef has been undergoing “coral bleaching”, where coral dies off due to temperature change and water acidity. The damage done may not be reversible if drastic action isn’t taken by the year 2030.

Here at Move Migration, we believe that the Great Barrier Reef is one of Australia’s, and the world’s most beautiful and important ecological systems. We would like to highlight and increase the awareness of this problem with our readers.

Switch your lights off for one hour, every Earth Hour and be concious about your energy consumption. Spread the word, and save the Great Barrier Reef. Migrant or not, you might want to visit it after all.
